Hope Summers is a mutant character appearing in Marvel comics, most notably associated with the X-Men. She is considered the first mutant born after the events of M-Day, a catastrophic event that depowered the vast majority of the mutant population.

Hope's first appearance was in X-Men #205 (2008). Born in Cooperstown, Alaska, she was immediately targeted by various factions due to her potential and status as the "mutant messiah."

Cable, the time-traveling son of Cyclops, took her into the future to protect her and train her to control her powers. She possesses the ability to mimic and manipulate the powers of other mutants, making her incredibly powerful and a key figure in mutant affairs.
